Description:
The name ‘indigo’ originates from the Greek word ‘indikón’—which converted ‘indicum’ in Latin—and the original meaning was simply “a substance from India.” Indigo dye is an organic compound with a distinctive blue color which is extracted from the leaves of Indigofera genus plants for thousands of years.
